As part of his agenda in the Sánchez Ramírez province, President Louis Abinader led the opening of the new office of the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) in Cotuí.

There he congratulated the authorities by indicating that by keeping collection levels high, the Government has been able to keep inflation levels below the region’s average.

“That good administration has helped us to meet the needs of these subsidies, which are currently necessary to keep inflation levels below the average of Latin America and many European countries”he expressed.

He often said that if the subsidies did not consume the items collected by the DGIIthese could be invested in social works.

With the new local administration of Cotuí de la DGIIthe agency expands its portfolio of services to facilitate tax compliance.

the owner of the DGII, Luis Valdez Veras, announced that starting next Monday more than six thousand taxpayers will be charged to the new Local Administration of Cotuí. In addition, he trusted that the collections will increase from the creation of the new offices.

“This will be covered with a single month of collection from this Local Administration because in the monthly average it is currently collecting about 28 million pesos and we are hopeful that as of today these collections will rise and double,” said Valdez Veras, during the ribbon cutting.

Meanwhile, Cristiana Rodríguez, governor of Sánchez Ramírez, stressed that the inhabitants of that province now will not have to move to San Francisco de Macorís to meet their tax obligations.

Regarding the collections in June, Valdez Veras said that he ended with a collection of 52 billion pesos, more than 5 billion more than expected, which was 47 billion.

Services

The new offices will offer the taxpayer a total of 30 services and procedures that range from consultations to all processes with the National Taxpayers Registry, activation of code cards and payment authorizations.

Also requests for payment and reimbursement agreements, check refunds, certification of compliance, tax settlement, inactivation of obligations of natural persons, petitions related to tax receipt numbers.

In addition, sales of stamps and receipts Law 33-91, payment on account, as well as 10 services for the area of ​​motor vehicles that range from certifications, corrections, sale and duplication of labels and registrations, renewal of motorcycle plates, oppositions, terminations, transfers and endorsements.

Investment

The work had an investment of more than 17 million pesos that includes infrastructure, air conditioning equipment, technology, furniture, appliances, as well as signage.
