The concept of downtown galleries it is changing. Before the pandemic they already faced a drop in the public that visited them, but the covid deepened the problem to the extent that today there is more telecommuting and therefore less face-to-face work in that neighborhood of the city. That’s why so much Paseo Centro – the organization that brings together businesses – and the Montevideo City Hall are thinking of plans to give them a new boost. And one of the central ideas is that of the theme rides: that each gallery has an identity through which it can attract different audiences.
