More than 5 million vaccines against the coronavirus will be distributed in the coming weeks throughout the country by the Government, which will be used to start and complete vaccination schedules to continue advancing the immunization campaign against Covid 19.

The more than 5 million vaccines will make it possible to continue initiating and completing schedules, as well as providing reinforcements to further advance the vaccination campaign against Covid 19, “which already has 85% of the total population vaccinated with one dose and one 72% with two doses “, highlighted the health portfolio.
He also recalled that in order to offer maximum protection to the population against the exponential increase in cases and the introduction of new variants with greater transmissibility, the ministry adopted last Wednesday the recommendation of the National Immunization Commission (CoNaIn).
In this sense, it indicated the application of the booster dose to the entire population 18 years of age or older, at least 4 months (120 days) after completing the initial scheme.
The health portfolio expressed, on the other hand, that taking into account that during January and February a significant number of people will comply with the recommended interval, this dose distribution will also favor access to vaccine reinforcements.
In that context, he recalled that with this objective, the last meeting of the Federal Health Council (Cofesa) on January 5 was also agreed on the possibility that people can be vaccinated in locations other than their place of residence.
