Founded in 1832, Florida National College celebrates 190 years since its foundation, For this reason, it held an anniversary commemorative act and to honor the golden anniversary of the class of 1972 and the silver anniversary of the class of 1997.
The teaching staff and students of the promotion of 2022 of the Florida National School were presentin addition to the former students of the class of ’72, who received recognition for their golden anniversary and the alumni of the class of ’97 who also received a special recognition for their silver anniversary.
Sócrates Cabellero Iriarte, president of the Florida National Foundation, gave a few allusive words regarding the school’s anniversary, followed by Marcelo Cárdenas, former student of the class of ’72, who recalled that This date also marks the 50th anniversary of the change of the insignia animal of the school’s coat of arms. Previously it was a falcon, the animal that represented the school, now it is a motún pava, which is in danger of extinction.
After the act, the discovery of the plaque of the golden anniversary promotion was made together with all those present, to later enjoy a toast in his honor.
