Covid-19: Brazil records 14,100 cases and 185 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health released today (29) new figures on the covid-19 pandemic in the country. According to a daily survey carried out by the ministry, Brazil has 30.4 million confirmed cases of the disease and 663,400 registered deaths. Recovered cases total 29.5 million (97% of cases). The state of São Paulo has the highest number of accumulated cases since the beginning of the pandemic, with 5.3 million cases and 168,000 deaths. Next are Minas Gerais (3.3 million cases and 61.2 thousand deaths); Paraná (2.4 million cases and 43 thousand deaths) and Rio Grande do Sul (2.3 million cases and 39.2 thousand deaths).

According to the Ministry of Health’s vaccinometer, 413.5 million doses of vaccines against covid-19 have already been applied, of which 174.7 million (first dose); 154.4 million (second dose); in addition to 74.7 million (booster dose) and 1.4 million (second booster dose).
