Dr. Esmeralda Martínez, National Coordinator of swab sampling, explained on Radio Panama that when the emergency is lifted by the World Health Organization (WHO), swab centers are closing nationwide.
“When the WHO regulations and the state of emergency are lifted, we already have to go to the health facilities to provide the services as it should be, this Thursday the care center at the Emilio Royo stadium was closed, starting this Friday they begin to close all at the national level,” said Martínez.
The swab center located in the Megamall Shopping Center is expected to close on May 31 and the last one to close will be the Rod Carew stadium because it is the most complex and the one with the most resources that we have to redirect to the facilities .
From now on, the swabs will be made in the different health facilities to be able to carry out said test for COVID-19
