Around 11:20 this Sunday, an inmate from the D Alta pavilion, identified as Alfredo Gaete, managed to escape from the Misiones prison.
This inmate was able to escape from said prison, located in the town of San Juan Bautista, by jumping over the perimeter wall until he had an exit to the outside of the place.
Police and military personnel stationed outside the prison were able to realize what had happened and quickly proceeded to recapture this inmate approximately 400 meters from the site.
Alfredo Gaete has been deprived of liberty for about four months, serving preventive detention for a case of family violence for which he had been prosecuted.
This episode occurs a little over a month after the last mass escape from the Misiones Regional Penitentiary, an occasion in which more than 30 inmates -mostly members of the PCC- managed to escape from the prison.
