Santo Domingo.- The Department of Book Fairs of the Ministry of Culture reported that the 24th edition of the Santo Domingo International Book Fair 2022 (FILSD) opened its doors and has received hundreds of enthusiastic visitors on its first day.
He also recalled that due to the effects of the trough that has impacted the city during the last week, adjustments were made for the opening of the pavilions and booths located in the fairgrounds, a process that is flowing satisfactorily.

The entity reiterated the invitation to the population so that from this Saturday, April 23 to May 2, they visit the FILSD, in whose facilities the programmed activities are carried out normally.

“From today’s date, the public has various spaces at their disposal, such as those dedicated to Carmen Natalia, the European Union, Dominican Authors, the Children’s Area in el Trampoline Museumthe Ministry of Education, the National Publishing House, the National Commission for National Ephemeris, the Ministry of Defense, the Editorial Bonó, the Editorial Isla Negra, the Loyola Polytechnic, the Casa de los Jesuitas, Radio Santa María and the Oceano Bookstore, among others, to which more spaces will be gradually added, as the adaptation work is completed, ”specifies the entity.
The institution also indicates that the Ozama Fortress and the Theater House will serve as the stage for a series of concerts that will begin today with the performance of various artists, including Ricci Oriach, Kenya Roque and Yosva Bernal.
In this edition, in addition to the exhibition of a varied offer of books, the public will be offered an extensive program for the whole family, and the beauty and attractions of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo will be used to show the historical and cultural wealth of the country. .
