Parked car fell to the rocks of the beach near Kibón

A car that was parked in the vicinity of Rambla de Gaulle and Bacilo Pereira de la Luz, in Pocitos, fell to the rocks for reasons that are still being investigated, reported the National Navy.

The vehicle, which was without occupants, crossed the street and collided with the rocks on the beach, near Kibón, where it was stopped. The authorities handle as a primary hypothesis that it was due to a “handbrake problem”.

Trouville Prefecture was notified of the incident around 3:30 p.m. According to the Navy statement, “the vehicle would be parked on the westbound path when the reason is unknown, it begins to cross the boulevard and falls towards the rocks.”

A winch intervened to carry it

The accident caused no injuries or traffic problems. A winch from the Municipality of Montevideo intervened to remove the vehicle.

Police continue to investigate the case.
