The Real Betis Y tigers de UANL have practically closed the agreement for the assignment with purchase option of Diego Laínez (22 years old), after significantly advancing the negotiations in the last hours between both clubs and the player’s agents and breaking the loan he had with Sporting de Braga until the end of the season.
Lainez, once the purchase is made at the end of the season, will sign for four seasons with Tigres -at a rate of one million dollars a year, according to the Mexican press-, which last Monday released the far right champion of the French world Florian Thauvin, 30, who was the highest paid soccer player in Mexican soccer, and is now finalizing the departure of Ecuadorian center forward Jordi Caycedo (24 years old) to Turkish Sivasspor, where he is leaving on loan with a purchase option.
The sale of Lainez will leave a little less than seven million euros in the Betic coffers and the Verdiblanco club will keep a percentage of the player’s pass, for which it paid double four years ago to América, which also maintains a percentage of his rights.
The departure of Lainez, as well as that of Loren, which is also being finalized, are essential for Real Betis to be able to sign another striker, be it Ayoze Pérez (Leicester), whom Villarreal also wants, or someone else who has in portfolio Antonio Cordón and whose name has not yet come to the fore.
