A unique event is the one that will be lived between the October 14 and 16, 2022 in Mapocho Station. During these days, the second edition of THC EXPOa learning space that will have two lines of action: one dedicated to the exhibition of the main national and foreign cultivation companies, with all the novelties of cannabis genetics, and another, where talks will be given and ties will be established between the market , academia and public institutions that regulate the industry. THC EXPO returns to the Mapocho Station
The work area called Hemp Village, will aim to look to the future to promote the legal cannabis industry in our country. In this learning space, interesting talks will be given that seek to create a community and be a platform for action for the sustainable development of cannabis, with a focus on social, economic and ecological benefits. The Chilean Association of Industrial Cannabis (ACCI), Patagonia Farms, Diamond Hemp, MÁ Botanics, Agro futuro, Aba Consulting and Latin America Reforma will participate in Hemp Village, some of them with legal crops already in operation.
Likewise, at the THC EXPO international fair, the more than 100 stands of distributors and growshops will give an account of the latest trends and firsts related to self-cultivation. In this playful and festive atmosphere, where there will also be rest areas and a food and beer court, important national bands and artists will perform: On Friday, October 14, Ceaese and Kidd Tetoon will take the stage, on Friday, October 15, they will perform Tiano Bless and Jonas Sanche and on Sunday the 16th, those in charge of closing the event will be Flor de Rap and Arte Elegant.
In recent years, the cannabis industry has been taking other perspectives, where its medicinal use stands out, already recognized and legalized in many countries around the world, as well as its recreational use: In the US, 29 states allow the medicinal use of cannabis , while its recreational use is legal in 18 states. Latin America has not been left behind, since countries like Mexico, Colombia and recently Argentina, have laws that promote their development.
In our country meanwhile, the study “Cannabis Latam Report”affirms that Chile could be the largest market in the region, and within the same document, it is reported that Targo Consulting estimates that there are 88,000 Chilean patients who use it medicinally, with an annual demand projection of 34 tons and a potential market of $186 million.
Given the imminent legal development of cannabis in Chile, THC EXPO becomes the first meeting place for the industry.
