MIAMI, United States. – Cuban teenager Kevin Pezeta Godswolf, the protagonist of one of the most iconic photos of the repression unleashed by the island’s regime on 11J, left Cuba to avoid reprisals from the regime and is now in the Dominican Republic.
Pezeta Godswolf, who is popularly known as El Kende de Cayo Hueso, offered details about his situation during an interview posted on the channel Vladimir Jaquez’s YouTube.
In that material, The Kende of Key West specified that after the popular protests of 11J he was arrested and imprisoned for five days. Despite the fact that he was released, the Police forced him to report to the authorities every month.
“When I signed a paper I was declaring what I said in that paper was true, that I was an opponent, that I threw a stone, barbarities that they invent,” he said.
Also, the young influencer and his representative were ordered to serve the organs of State Security.
“The day after we said that we were not going to sign anything [para colaborar con la Seguridad del Estado]I received a letter from the Military Service”, commented El Kende, who believes that it was a reprisal for his refusal to collaborate with the regime.
At that time, the young man decided to leave the Island. After traveling to Haiti, he was able to move to the Dominican Republic, where he currently resides.
