The mega exhibition of art, science and technology of the Ministry of Culture of the Nation in the Tecnópolis site received more than 840,000 visitors during the winter holidays and will remain open until October, it was reported today.

The eleventh edition of Tecnópolis, under the slogan “Sovereign Argentina, creating futures”, proposes various interactive and playful experiences, along with a wide program of shows, recitals and talks for all ages, reported a statement from the Ministry of Culture.

As of August 4, the park will open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for visits by schools and the general public, and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., with free admission and no need for prior reservation.

I remember perfectly when, at the direction of the then president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, we created this space with very clear premises: to give priority to science, technology and culture. Accompanied by the Undersecretary for Management of Spaces and Special Projects, Martín Bonavetti, and the director of the park, María Rosenfeldt, both national officials toured the main street of the property on the last day of winter vacation, in which they visited the place more than 120,000 people.

During eleven days of winter vacation“thousands of families from all over the country enjoyed the more than 70 interactive spaces that make up the exhibition by 60 organizations, which invite them to live experiences to learn about art, science, technology, productive development, energy, gender, the environment and sustainability, among other issues”added the statement.

Both spaces continue to be an example of what Argentina is capable of doing in science, technology, innovation and culture. Culture also had a prominent place in the winter vacation schedule.

In the eight stages and auditoriums in the park, more than 400 recitals were presented, shows, talks and plays with artists from all over the country: Raviolis, Los Rockan, Dúo Karma, Cazurros, Anda Calabaza, Koufequín, Bigolates de Chocote, Vuelta Canela.

Likewise, the great dance of Zamba and Nina, Sueño, Gregorio Imaginario and the play “The man who lost his shadow” were some of the most popular shows for children.

For their part, the youth were able to enjoy recitals with Zoe Gotusso, FMK, Angela Torres, Homer el Mero Mero, Ronpe99, Mario Luis, El Choque Urbano, Mora Navarro, Axel Fiks, Connie Isla, Manu Martínez, Rayos Láser and talks with referents such as Pluzito, Pedro Rosemblat, Martín Rechimuzzi, Julia Rosenberg, Leyla Bechara, Fito Mendonca Paz, Jorge Pinarello, Sol Despeinada and María del Mar Ramón.

After the winter holidays, the park will remain open from Thursday to Sunday until October 23, with all its permanent spaces and an extensive artistic program.

In turn, this year, in keeping with the fortieth anniversary of the Malvinas War and 100 years of YPF, the mega exhibition invites us to think about sovereignty as an engine for the construction of futures.

The different proposals of the park address environmental, cultural, technological, energy, productive and food sovereignty, as well as education, inclusion, solidarity, equality and the expansion of rights.

One of the main novelties is the Amazing Park of Zamba and Ninawhich invites children to meet and have fun with the characters from the Pakapaka series.

Early childhood can also enjoy Flotante, an art and exploration space for children from six months.

Heaven on the sidewalk -the sample tribute to María Elena Walsh-, The House of the Colossus -with art and technology workshops-, Alphabet Soup -a space for stories and books- and Space Academy -a 360° dome to learn about astronomy- complete the list of spaces preferred by the youngest visitors, the official information.

Another novelty at Tecnópolis is the expansion of the Electronic Arts Laboratory, a space that exhibits digital arts installations and offers workshops on robotics, video games, music and performances.

In line with the motto of this edition, The park invites you to discover the exhibition “The sea as a territory”, a large space for interactive exploration of Argentine waters that seeks to reflect on maritime sovereignty.

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation also presents three new recreational spaces to learn through play and experimentation: an interactive exhibition on Spatial Sovereignty, Identities without limits – A journey of humanity, which addresses the evolutionary history and migrations of the Humanity and Imagination, which invites you to explore nanotechnology, robotics, programming and artificial intelligence.

The emblematic spaces also continue with new content and activities: Bichos, Fábrica, Espacio Conicet -with an exhibition on glaciers-, the Integrated Project of Sustainable Biodevelopments, Argentina in space and the House of Newton.

For its part, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation participates in the Diversity Polewith recreational and urban activities, such as skate classes, skate, parkour, breaking, circus, 3×3 basketball, tennis, soccer and trampolines, among other proposals.

The park has free parking for cars, motorcycles and bicycles at its two entrances, accessible bathrooms, wheelchairs available, areas with Wi-Fi, medical service and ambulances for primary care, hydration stations and hot water for mate.

Talks are held in the auditoriums with LSA Interpretation (Argentine-Spanish Sign Language).

The property offers a wide variety of gastronomic offers and, in addition, entry with food and non-alcoholic beverages is allowed.

Likewise, at the entrance of Av. de los Constituyentes, the vaccination post against the coronavirus continues to operate and, within the park, the Friendly Vaccine Center with the vaccines of the national calendar.
