Head of Humanitarian Affairs of the UN begins visit in Venezuela

Martin Griffiths, Deputy Secretary General of the Coordination Agency of Humanitarian Affairs of the United Nations Organization (OCHA) began its visit to Venezuela with the aim of promoting work to help vulnerable populations.

After his arrival, Griffiths met with United Nations agencies and with NGOs both national and international who work in Venezuela with the aim of address all humanitarian and social needs what is in the country.

As revealed by OCHA, Martin Griffiths will also discuss how mobilize additional resources to the country to promote the agency’s humanitarian response in Venezuela as well as will visit a public health project.

Griffiths’ visit will end on Tuesday as “ongoing efforts to address humanitarian and social needs” are deepened and “provision of basic services” is strengthened.
