The Contest of Teaching Appointment was affected by the protests in different regions and for this, the Ministry of Education rescheduled the schedulewhich will end just on October 26th with the issuance of appointment resolutions.
However, these positions will be covered by teacher contracts for the year 2023, so that teachers can ensure the start of the school year since March, as reported yesterday by the director of the UGEL Arequipa Norte, Roberto Marín Zamaniego.
Considering that the Single National Test for appointment and teaching contract has already been taken, the Minedu published on Tuesday the teacher merit chart, in order that the UGEL use this ranking of approximately 13 thousand teachers to proceed with the 3 thousand vacancies contract in the region at 10 UGEL.
THEY WAIT FOR THE TIMETABLE FOR RECRUITMENTS
Marín Zamaniego indicated that the entire month of February will be devoted to hiring, according to a general schedule that will be issued by the Regional Education Management. He explained that all UGELs will handle the same schedule, in order for teachers to apply for a single position and not apply for several, and then abandon the others.
While the teachers who continue with the second stage of the appointment process, will enter the Public Teaching Career, just in March 2024.
Regarding the contest Ascent of the Teaching Scale and Access to Management Positionsthe schedule was also extended and will restart in July, since need to take the Single National Test.
The Promotion process will end in August, but according to the official, the rule does not specify whether the professors who are promoted will improve their income after receiving their resolutions or from 2024.
