Teacher Director Humberto Montero: “We cannot accept modular classrooms in urban areas”

Angel Valdes | March 6, 2023

The teacher leader of the Association of Veragüenses Teachers, Humberto Montero, takes stock of the start of the 2023 school year at the national level and the operation of the schools.
“When we talk about operations it is because they are going to be working in schools, but we are concerned about the remaining 462 who have not told us how they are going to start by modules, remotely, virtual, but I imagine it will be virtual,” he said. Huntsman.
Regarding the appointment contest for teachers to be in their positions at the beginning of the school year, Montero expressed concern about the list of teachers so that their appointments are confirmed “We are concerned about the middle and high school teachers who still have to wait, because the list came out on March 28 to take office in April but the procedures were carried out, of course there will be students who do not have their teachers, this is worrying and we hope that this will be expedited, the school directors with the regional directors must look for the mechanism so that the boys do not miss class.
Regarding the ranch classrooms, for Montero it is fine for remote areas but not for urban areas “it is fine that modular classrooms intervene in places of difficult access. But, what we cannot accept is that modular classrooms are in urban places.
