The alleged kidnapping of two Transportation inspectors from the Provincial Municipality of Tacna (MPT) is being investigated at the Gregorio Albarracín police station.

Police from that police department went this Friday at 6 a.m. to the Alfonso Ugarte I housing complex, Stage I, block A4, lot 23, where the deputy manager of Transportation and Road Safety of the MPT, Jorge Chávarri Gallardo, reported that two councilors had been kidnapped.

Chávarri said that between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. the personnel of the Transportation Deputy Management carried out an operation at the Manuel A. Odría terminal and intervened in the car with license plate V3N-175 driven by Dorian Catacora Vargas (47), who lacked the credential. and vehicle registration card, so inspectors Jhon Llanos Condori (20) and André Soncco Alave (20) ordered to intern the vehicle in the municipal warehouse in the Smoke Control sector of Albarracín.

According to the interveners, they boarded the V3N-175 vehicle driven by Catacora and it was going to be taken to the municipal depot, but the driver detoured on the way and headed to his home, where he had the taxi enter through the garage and the inspectors were there. locked up and asked for help. Then MPT personnel, as well as police and night watchmen from Albarracín, went to the area.
He says they asked him for a bribe
Catacora alleged that the inspectors asked him for a bribe of S/ 200. At the Albarracín police station it was learned that Catacora had violations as a taxi driver and they were investigating his version of bribery.
