Tacna: Police deploy 350 troops at strategic points over the long weekend

The head of the XIV Police Region of Tacna, General PNP Manuel Rivera, reported that a total of 350 troops have been deployed to protect public order and security at strategic points this long weekend due to the Holy Thursday and Friday holidays.

“We appreciate that tourism is also increasing, the beach area, the places where the population is, the National Police will be there, we have a plan for Holy Week, this plan has the necessary strategy to protect the population in these holidays,” the officer said.

Retention of 400 agents in police stations

He indicated that there are intelligence personnel who report the places where people travel and that there are 400 troops in police stations ready to join if necessary.

Another of the places where the agents will be stationed are the temples and markets, where a large number of people are concentrated these days. He recommended that the population trust the institution.
