SWAT y Dicrim intervinieron  Guachupita

Santo Domingo.– Tactical units of the National Police have been intervening since last Wednesday in the populous sector of Guachupita, after the members of a gang confronted a patrol with gunfire last Monday.

The Police spokesman, Colonel Diego Pesqueira, reported that more than 20 people have been arrested during the preventive operations deployed in that sector.

Yesterday, residents in the sector released videos captured through cell phones, in which members of the SWAT unit accompanied by members of the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Dicrim) can be seen combing the streets and alleys in search of weapons and drugs.

As part of the actions, Colonel Luis Peña Peña was appointed as commander of Department C2.

The uniformed woman identified Bombo, Bajaimama, Enrique, Randy, Santiago and Johan as those responsible for the shooting attack against the police officers in the aforementioned sector, who she warned are heavily armed.
