“I am going to invoke the political forces, including local, provincial, national authorities so that we agree and maintain democracy and the stability of the Government. The congressmen have been elected for five years and must remain that period, the same happens with the president, who was elected for five years and must also remain in office. It is possible to achieve political stability to attend to the needs of the population”, explained Torres.
Aníbal Torres criticizes Congress
At another time, the prime minister criticized that a sector of Congress spends state resources promoting the vacancy of Pedro Castillo.
“The goal should not be vacancy 24 hours a day, spending public money that comes out of the pockets of all Peruvians to vacate the president, we have to calm down. The people react with justice (protests) because they are seeking a permanent coup d’état, therefore, the people have the right to defend themselves. The other side has to stop persisting in the vacancy”, sentenced Aníbal Torres.
