Susel Paredes asks Pedro Castillo for Geiner Alvarado’s departure: “Not another Silva”

the congresswoman (Integrity and Development) asked the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, to remove from office Minister of Transport and Communications who is being investigated by the prosecution.

“President Pedro Castillo, out of decorum, out of respect for his investiture and out of respect for Peru. Remove Geiner Alvarado from the position of minister. Under the umbrella of his management and his official endorsement, a mechanism of corruption has operated in the Ministry of Housing”wrote on social networks this Tuesday 24.

Geiner Alvarado, as well as Pedro Castillo, have been included in a preliminary investigation in the National Prosecutor’s Office for alleged irregularities in tenders for the Housing sector in Chota, Cajamarca; and Cajatambo, in Lima.

“Not another Silva”Susel Paredes added in his message in reference to former Minister Juan Silva, who remains a fugitive from justice due to another investigation in the Public Ministry.

Silva resigned from office when a motion of censure against him was being evaluated in the plenary session of Congress and remains in hiding since there is a preliminary arrest warrant against him that has not been fulfilled.
