A special traffic scheme was set up on the outskirts of the Anhembi Sambadrome, where, until Saturday (23), the parades of the samba schools of São Paulo’s carnival take place. According to the
The ban on roads near the Anhembi Sambadrome will last until Saturday, but agents from the Traffic Engineering Company will be on site to indicate alternative routes.
(CET), signs and interdictions start at 18:00 on the day of the parade and go until 9:00 on the following day.
The main access roads to the sambadrome are Olavo Fontoura, Assis Chateaubriand (Marginal Tietê), Braz Leme and Santos Dumont avenues. The main car park is located at the Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion, with access from Rua Marechal Leitão de Carvalho, at gates 4 and 5.
The bans take place on Rua Professor Milton Rodrigues, towards Marginal Tietê, for the assembly of the event’s infrastructure. This section will be blocked until the 30th of this month. The same street, but towards Avenida Olavo Fontoura, is closed on parade days, from 6pm to 9am. Local access is exclusive to accredited vehicles.
Avenida Olavo Fontoura is also closed in both directions on parade days. Avenida Assis Chateaubriand, which is the local lane of Marginal Tietê, will have restricted access for buses with school components, between Ponte das Bandeiras and Ponte Casa Verde.
Rua Marechal Leitão de Carvalho will be a two-way street with access only to the Anhembi parking lot, through gates 4 and 5. The cycle lane on Avenida Olavo Fontoura is disabled on the days of the parades.
CET agents will be on site to guide the use of alternative routes. Those traveling along Avenida Olavo Fontoura, towards Santana, and Rua Professor Milton Rodrigues, towards Marginal Tietê, can take Avenida Braz Leme, towards the neighborhood, in addition to Avenida Santos Dumont and Praça Campo de Bagatelle.
For those traveling along Avenida Olavo Fontoura, towards Casa Verde, the alternative is Avenida Braz Leme, towards the center and Marginal Tietê. Drivers who have the North Zone as their destination should avoid Avenida Santos Dumont, between Avenida Braz Leme and Praça Campo de Bagatelle, opting for Avenida Cruzeiro do Sul.
