The classification for the quarter-finals of the competition had to be defined in the maximum penalties because in the 90 minutes the result was a new 1-1 draw, this time with goals from Marcos Leonardo for Peixe and Uribe for the Venezuelans.
In the penalty shootout, the Deportivo Táchira players did not waste any of the opportunities they had. For Santos, Ricardo Goulart and Lucas Barbosa failed, while Sandry and Carlos Sánchez scored.
Now Peixe is focused on the Brasileiro, a competition in which Atlético-GO will host next Sunday (10).
