Subject threw a Molotov cocktail against a house in Santiago and would have caused a fire: the accident caused the death of a mother and her two children

A subject threw a Molotov cocktail early Thursday against a house in Santiago, at the intersection of Portugal with Sargento Aldea. The object would have caused a fire, which caused the death of a 40-year-old mother and her two children, aged 16 and 8.

“It is possible to obtain a video recording in which a male person is observed, who moves along the road, arrives at this property, lights an element that could presumably be a Molotov cocktail,” said the commissioner of the Fourth Police Station. of Carabineros, Marco Bahamondesslogan Bio Bio Radio.

The latest inquiries showed that the flames would have started outside the house.

In addition, Carabineros presumes that the subject who threw the Molotov cocktail did so due to a fight with an inhabitant of the property – 10 people lived in it, since it was subdivided by leases, according to neighbors -, who managed to escape the fire.

Uniformed police are conducting inquiries to identify the person who threw the Molotov cocktail. The institution also seeks to confirm whether it was a settling of accounts.
