Strong explosion in Puebla due to probable clandestine gas intake

The incident took place on Gasoducto Avenue, on the corner of Ferrocarril Avenue, of the San Pablo Xochimehuacán Auxiliary Board, in the capital of Puebla, around 2:20 in the morning. The number of victims is unknown, but it was reported that the injured are being transferred to the Northern General Hospital of Puebla.

So far there is no report of deceased persons.

The Civil Protection authorities asked the population of the surrounding areas to follow the instructions of emergency personnel, close gas tanks and not turn on lights.

Minutes before the explosion, some residents reported a strong smell of gas in the neighborhoods near the ignition point.
