A training agreement was signed between the National College of Journalists of Panama (Conape) and the Panama Chamber of Shipping.

This strategic alliance will strengthen the training of communication professionals in various topics of the maritime and logistics industry.

Gricelda Melo, president of Conape, pointed out that this agreement is part of the actions that are being carried out together with the Maritime University of Panama for the start of the Diploma in Maritime-Logistics Journalism.

Meanwhile, Enrique Clément, president of the Panama Chamber of Shipping, said that this union will allow a better disclosure of the issues inherent to the sector that contributes about 30% of the country’s gross domestic product.

“It’s a win-win for everyone, having communicators trained in this area will contribute enormously to the industry, but above all to the country,” he stressed.

This agreement is part of the professional training roadmap drawn up by the board of directors of the National College of Journalists of Panama.
