According to López Arredondo’s statements, in a meeting where Walter Ayala, former Minister of the Interior, participated, Torres Vásquez expressed his intention that Pacheco Castillo leave Peru so that he “does not speak.”
“The premier wanted him to leave the country. I accompanied him to that meeting when he was away. Minister Ayala was also part of (that meeting) so that he leaves and does not speak”, said the would-be effective collaborator.

Similarly, he asserted that the then Minister of Justice, Aníbal Torres, earned “the bonuses” from President Pedro Castillo to become Prime Minister by silencing Bruno Pacheco when the allegations of corruption broke out.
“At the time of the meeting, (Aníbal Torres) was Minister of Justice. Of course he earned the bonuses to be premier, because he silenced Brunobecause they shut him up,” he added.
On the other hand, he commented that the president’s nephew peter castleRudbel Oblitas, called the meeting —in which the businesswoman participated— to appoint the former Secretary General of the Palace as a diplomatic attaché.

“He (Rudbel Oblitas) was the one who organized and requested the meeting with the minister (Walter Ayala) to take poor Bruno (Pacheco) as an attaché or ambassador to leave the country”he indicated.
