Starting today, the investment of lanes towards the interior of the country begins

From this Friday, February 25, the investment of lanes towards the interior of the country and towards the capital will begin for the holidays of Carnival 2022, as announced last Wednesday by the Directorate of Transit Operations of the National Police.

The lane reversal will take place from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, in a first section from Avenida de Los Mártires to Arraiján and from La Espiga in La Chorrera to Quesos Chela de Capira.

The authorities indicated that on Sunday, February 27, there will be a reversal of lanes for the return, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, from Quesos Chela in Capira to La Espiga in La Chorrera.

While on Monday, February 28 and Tuesday, March 1, the investment would be from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm; and on Wednesday, March 2, it will be from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm

They pointed out that the lane reversal schedule, from February 28 to March 2, will depend on the behavior of the vehicular flow.

They also indicated that this measure seeks to guarantee a rapid return to the capital of travelers who are expected to cross into the interior of the country on the days of Carnival.

It should be remembered that despite the fact that this weekend is expected to be extensive, the health authorities have stressed that the typical Carnival celebrations that lead to crowds and possible COVID-19 infections will not be allowed.

The authorities indicated that they expect more than 100,000 vehicles to travel to the interior of the country.
