Starting this Wednesday, the simulation of the analog television blackout begins

The Public Services Authority (Asep) will execute from this Wednesday, May 4, the first simulation of the phase 1 analog television blackout.

These drills will take place in Panama, West Panama and Colon, at 8:00 pm and will last two minutes.

According to Asep, users will experience a simulation of turning off the analog or traditional signal. During this period, messages alluding to the preparations for the total shutdown of the analog signal in the aforementioned places will be broadcast on the screens.

The drills will be every Wednesday of the month of May and August 2022, and their objective is to prepare users for the digital signal and the benefits that Panamanians are already receiving in image and sound.
