Special Commission carries out approach in women’s prisons

The Special Commission for the Judicial Revolution carried out an approach at the National Institute for Women’s Orientation (Inof), located in Los Teques (Miranda), with the purpose of unlocking the trials of the deprived of liberty.

The Minister for the Penitentiary Service, Celsa Bautista, reported that to date 25 release tickets have been executed corresponding to precautionary measures or full freedom that placed an equal number of inmates on the street.

The boarding was attended by deputies of the National Assembly, prosecutors from the Public Ministry and judges. “This operation has allowed personalized legal attention to the prison population; The respective file reviews, psychosocial evaluations, as well as the forensic medical care of the deprived of liberty were carried out, ”wrote the Minister on her twitter account where she posted photos of the operation.

A similar day was held last week in Zulia state. In that entity, the Special Commission addressed the Training Center for the New Man “Dr. Francisco Delgado Rosales” where they reviewed the files, psychosocial evaluations, attention to the health conditions of those deprived of liberty, inspection of facilities and socio-productive spaces, as reported by Minister Bautista.

The deployment included the Ana María Campos I and II Women’s Training Center, located in San Francisco (Zulia).

The Special Commission was appointed in June 2021 by President Nicolás Maduro to decongest police checkpoints and unblock the trials initiated against deprived of liberty, among others.
