Spanish chain Roc Hotels will manage luxury hotel in Cayo Santa María

The Cuban tourism group Gaviota and the Spanish chain Roc Hotels agreed on Tuesday to sign a hotel management and marketing contract for a facility located in the tourist center of Cayo Santa María.

Through a statement, the parties indicate that with the new commercial agreement the Spanish company will market the Hotel Lagunas del Este II, formerly known as Ocean Casa del Mar, under the name of Hotel Roc Casa del Mar, according to a report from the Prensa Latina (PL) agency.

Both entities agreed to cancel the contract for the Hotel Roc Lagunas del Mar, which due to various circumstances (including the COVID-19 pandemic and renovation works), could not be inaugurated under that commercial name.

The disclosed text indicates that the new inauguration of the tourist facility, with a five-star category, is scheduled for next January 27, in which the rules and work procedures of the Roc Hotels patron will be applied.

These standards are highly recognized among guests, as reflected in the opinion portals of the rest of the Roc hotels in Cuba, the media reported.

Being a five-star hotel, the Excelsior Club service, exclusive to Roc Hotels, will be implemented, which offers attractive added values, exclusive and differentiated from the usual service. It is the equivalent of the Roc Plus service that is so successful in the four-star establishments managed by the company.

ROC Hotels is a family hotel chain founded in 1998 in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. It is currently immersed in a strong expansion.

The company has been present in Cuba since 2013, when it began operating the Roc Presidente hotel, in Havana, and the Roc Barlovento and Roc Arenas Doradas, in the tourist hub of Varadero.

Currently, it also manages the Roc Varadero.
