The son of the deceased accordion player spoke about what happened through a statement.
Juan Humberto Rois, councilor of the city of Montería, is involved in a traffic accident that claimed the life of a cyclist on the road that leads from the municipality of Ciénaga de Oro to Cereté, in the department of Córdoba.
The road accident occurred in the afternoon of Sunday, September 18, when the son of the deceased accordion player Juancho Rois was traveling in a van along with his mother Jenny Dereix and his maternal grandmother.
An invasion of the lane by one of the two road actors, triggered the death of Euclides Argel, a 65-year-old man, who according to information from Radius Snail, He was riding his bike to buy ACPM.
After the crash, the older adult was lying lifeless on the asphalt.
Authorities arrived at the scene of the events and Juan Humberto Rois was given a breathalyzer test which produced a negative result.
The councilor of the Radical Change party, expressed feeling very distressed by this incident and clarified that he is not a consumer of alcohol or any other substance that affects his senses.
Through his social networks, the son of “Juancho” expressed his sadness at what happened:
“Today my heart is flooded with sadness and I deeply regret what happened. It was a fortuitous situation that could happen to any driver », he specified.
“From the first moment I was facing the situation together with the authorities, who are in charge of verifying that I was acting within traffic regulations and without any level of alcohol or psychoactive substance, since as is public knowledge, I do not consume booze,” he added.
“Our older adults are a treasure that we must care for and protect, with the aim of avoiding accidents that endanger their lives or that of other people. My deepest condolences to the Algiers family and their friends, I accompany them in their pain », he concluded.
