Some 180 people were apprehended in the last 24 hours in ‘Operation Genesis’

Some 180 people are apprehended, in the last 24 hours for various crimes through “Operation Genesis 2022”, by the national security forces.

Of this total of apprehended, 82 are by trade, 05 for micro-trafficking, 73 for administrative offenses and 20 for flagrancy.

The arrests occurred at different points throughout the country.

A total of 18 raids were carried out, achieving the seizure of 5 firearms, ammunition, 2 recovered vehicles, 3 packages with drugs and illicit substances.

Also, 25 foreigners who did not meet the immigration requirements were detected and placed under the orders of the corresponding authorities.

Likewise, 1,956 tickets were placed for various violations of the Traffic Regulations, of these 628 were for speeding, 56 for proven drunkenness, 25 for talking on a cell phone, 23 for alcoholic breath and 150 inadequate lights.

With “Operation Genesis 2022”, security strategies are strengthened with a view to guaranteeing peaceful coexistence throughout the national territory.
