Sol de América wins on time against a heroic Majorcan General

At the close of date 11, the last of the first round of the Closing Tournament, Sol de América resumed the victorious path by beating a General Caballero JLM this Friday 3-2 who fought despite suffering two expulsions.

El Danzarín recovered his memory in the sense of becoming strong at the Luis Alfonso Giagni stadium, where he garnered the vast majority of points in the current championship.

At 23 minutes, Marcelo Estigarribia surprised with an effective appearance in the rival area and, with a header, scored the 1-0 blue.

Leonardo Rolón, before the end of the first half, took a sensational individual play out of the hat and then nailed the ball into Luis Ojeda’s net with a spectacular shot from outside the area. It was 1-1 in favor of the Mallorcan Red.

In the complementary, the one that hit first was again the team led by Pablo Guiñazú. In minute 53, Tomás Rojas tried a good shot that beat the visiting goalkeeper Juanito Alfonso, giving the host the advantage again (2-1).

From then on, everything got even more complicated for the squad led by Gustavo Florentín, since Juan Heinze (61′) and José Vera (72′) received a direct red card. But the General did not give up and with 9 players he shook up the game again.

Guillermo Hauché, at 82 minutes, embedded the ball in the Solense goal with a shot that deflected into a marker and became, at that point, a heroic 2-2 for the cast of Juan León Mallorquín.

But there was still more emotion left on the night at Villa Elisa: Gianlucca Fatecha, in additional time (90+1′), took advantage of the spaces inside the rival area and scored the decisive goal 3-2.

With this result, Sol de América climbed to 14 points in the Clausura and maintains a good cushion in relation to the complicated area in the table of averages. The opposite occurs with General Caballero, who with today’s fall and the victory of October 12 against Resistenciafell back to relegation places.
