PCB presidential candidate Sofia Manzano said today (20) to construction workers in Fortaleza (CE) that, if elected, she will revoke the labor reform approved during Michel Temer’s government. She added that, regardless of the election period, she and her political party will continue to advocate, as a measure to combat unemployment, the reduction of working hours to 30 hours a week.
“The main campaign that we are doing and that we will continue to defend, regardless of the elections, is to reduce the working day to 30 hours without salary reduction”, he said.
According to her, this is a measure that generates “much more jobs” because it will force companies to hire more people to meet the demand. “This will give time to life for the working class that today is being massacred because they are either going to work, or working, or returning from work, with no time to study, go to school, play sports, go to church, see the family. It’s just work, work and work”, argued the candidate.
“I am a teacher and I work with young workers. Many come to me and say that they will have to leave school because they have found a job. Which country is this that we want to build, where the person has to choose: either work or study; Or work or see family?” she asked.
