Chuquisaca, champion of the National Karate Grand Prix

The VIII National Kyokushin Karate Grand Prix, which took place over the weekend in Cochabamba, was won by Chuquisaca, that to stay with the first place he obtained 11 gold medals, 11 silver and 8 bronze.

The host ranked second with five gold, six silver and six bronze medals; while Potosí completed the podium with four gold, one silver and three bronze.

Delegations from yesSanta Cruz (3-2-0), who ranked fourth; La Paz (1-0-3), which was in fifth position; and Oruro (0-3-0), which was at the bottom of the medal table.

“It was not an open tournament, but were the first three in each category because the objective was to complete the Bolivian team for the South American Championship in Córdoba, Argentina, which will take place in November”, said Kjarol Herrera, president of the Bolivian Karate Federation (Feboka).

With the athletes who were selected in this championship, Bolivia will have 85 karate fighters in the South American from Argentina.
