The Minister of Popular Power for Education and national coordinator of the Future Movement, Héctor Rodríguez, met in Caracas with representatives of social movements and communes of Venezuela. The objective of the meeting is to give proposals for the Congress of the Historical Blockconvened by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro.
In this way, “the meeting between social movements and communes aims to strengthen unity and draw strategic lines to continue progress in the construction of Bolivarian socialism; There have been more than 47 thousand assemblies that have been held, that is why we are here, so that the ties between the political leadership and the Venezuelan citizens continue,” said Héctor Rodríguez.
Also, he emphasized the need to maintain unity around the socialist and revolutionary project, “Chavismo is like the Orinoco River, which is nourished by many other rivers, which is why each commune and social movement from their territories must continue building a proposal for the growth of the country.”

The spokesperson for the communes, José Daniel Pérez, stressed their fundamental role in strengthening the State and participatory democracy. “Community Councils have a lot to contribute to the country in terms of organization and leadership.”
“The Communes are the central line to strengthen the State and participatory and leading democracy. In this historical block we consider that it is important to know how to transform the State from the bases and transform the geometry of territorial power,” he explained.
