215 people declared positive for coronavirus was the report of this Saturday from the Ministry of Health, that means a slight decrease in the figures compared to Friday. Likewise, 8,643 vaccines were applied throughout the country this weekend when the authorities warned of the arrival of the fifth wave.
As happened throughout the 27 months of the pandemic, the department of Santa Cruz is the one that presented the most cases with 74La Paz 55, Cochabamba 49, Chuquisaca 25, Oruro six, Tarija three, Potosí two, Beni one case and Pando closes, which had no positive cases to register.
with that figure the country reached 910,134 positive cases of Covid-19 accumulated throughout these years of the pandemic, of which 872,057 managed to recover, another 21,949 lost their lives and there are 16,128 active cases.
The week also closes with one deceased by Covid-19, becomes the first victim of this sixth month of the year. The last one was precisely on May 30, Monday, when a death was also recorded. With that loss, the country has already reached 21,949 deaths from the disease.
In the case of those recovered were 568 this Saturday and La Paz was the department with the most recovered 200 in total, 129 in Pando, 120 Santa Cruz, 66 Chuquisaca, 52 Cochabamba, one in Potosí, while Beni, Oruro and Tarija did not present a record of recovered.
Regarding vaccines, the Government reported that till the date 13,928,305 doses were applied between the first, second, third, single dose and fourth dose to the different age groups of the Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer and Janssen vaccines throughout the national territory.
The report states that 745,267 first doses and 512,187 second doses were applied to children from 5 to 11 years old, while 768,850 to adolescents from 12 to 17 years old in first doses and 589,979 in the second.
