Six people have been sentenced in the hostel case

After remaining in the position of Attorney General of the Nation, Javier Enrique Caraballo Salazar, gave a report on his first year in office and said that they have carried out 31 investigation processes for alleged abuses in shelters, in which they have made 14 accusations against those responsible and it was possible to convict 6 people for these acts.

In addition, he said that they obtained two sentences for the crime of rape for 10 and 12 years in prison, for the crimes of libidinous acts 2 people were also sentenced to 14 and 4 years in prison, in the same way two people have been sentenced for mistreatment of minor for 48 months in prison.

He explained that, in the Clandestine Vaccination Case, three people were charged, two for the crime of infraction of sanitary measures, one for fraud and the other for the crime of illegal exercise of the profession.

With respect to the investigations for the crime of embezzlement related to the “Panama Solidarity Plan Food Bags” case, they were able to charge those involved.

Caraballo highlighted that, in the investigations for crimes against the public administration in the National Charity Lottery, 6 people were charged, of which 3 were officials of the entity. Four of these people were given provisional arrest.
