Sinaproc issues a warning of prevention for maximum tides from November 4 to 10

The National Emergency Operations Center (COEN) warns that if heavy rains and peak tides coincide, floods could occur, mainly in the coastal areas of the country.

The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), issued a warning of prevention (surveillance and monitoring), due to the maximum tides that will occur in the Panamanian Pacific in the coming days.

The maximum tides that will reach the height of about 18.3 feet (5.57 meters) will be recorded from 2:45 am, this Thursday, November 4, 2021, until 7:39 am, on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.

The National Emergency Operations Center (COEN) warns that if heavy rains and peak tides coincide, floods could occur, mainly in the coastal areas of the country.

Prevention measures include: avoiding activities on the Pacific coast; artisanal fishermen must use navigation equipment and personal flotation devices (life jackets).
