The National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC) reported that it currently maintains monitoring and surveillance of rip currents in the Panamanian Caribbean from September 19 to 21.

According to the report, the areas under warning are: Comarca Guna Yala and Bocas del Toro, up to the north of Veraguas; in addition to the province of Colón.

On the other hand, the Directorate of Hydrometeorology of the Electric Transmission Company (ETESA), announced the entry of the sea in the Caribbean slope, which plans to generate dry currents, towards the western and eastern regions.

He stressed that waves between 0.8 and 1.4 meters high, periods of 9.0 to 12.0 seconds and winds of 10.0 to 35.0 kilometers per hour are expected.
