On the agenda in the municipality of São Vicente, in Baixada Santista, in São Paulo, Simone highlighted the strategic importance of the port terminal of Santos for the regional, national and international economy.

“I’m talking about a port that manages and sells a quarter of Brazil’s trade balance. But, at the same time, we need not only export, but also import inputs so that the industry can have cheaper raw materials to generate employment and income and be competitive. At the same time, this wealth needs to stay here,” said the candidate who advocates, in addition to tax reform, a focus on entrepreneurship in the country.

“I know about the problems here, such as lack of housing and infrastructure. To solve this, it is necessary not only to match Brazil within its regions, but also to do the homework. The economic vaccine is called tax reform, reducing the tax burden on industry so that it generates employment and income, ensuring productivity. At the same time, having a special look at entrepreneurship, particularly female entrepreneurship,” she argued.
