Sheinbaum defends AMLO's electoral reform in Acapulco

In her participation, before a few hundred attendees, the head of government was again promoted to the cry of President! President!

Sheinbaum celebrated that the electoral reform proposes the elimination of financing for political parties in ordinary times and that only public resources be delivered in campaigns.

With this, savings of more than 24 billion pesos could be generated, which are necessary to carry out works in states such as Oaxaca and Guerrero, Sheinbaum said.

In addition, he asked that the parties not have permanent financing and that the bureaucracies be ended: “Politics does not belong to a few, it is everyone’s business. By removing funding from political parties, it makes the citizens participate.”

In the event, Sheinbaum questioned again the fact that she had been designated by the Electoral Court of the Judicial Power of the Federation (TEPJF) as an offender, after repeatedly failing to comply with the precautionary measures that were ordered to prevent the revocation of the mandate from being promoted, because it was forbidden for the parties and governments to carry out this activity.

He also assured that the electoral authorities “restricted his freedom of expression.”

The event was attended by Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda, Senator Félix Salgado (her father), legislators and public officials from Morena.

Evelyn Salgado said for her part that the new electoral reform can prevent the candidacy of candidates from being withdrawn, as happened in Michoacán and Guerrero due to “the decision of a few and not of the people.”
