Sheinbaum: “An institutional relationship in government is always appreciated”

When rendering his fourth report in the Coyoacán mayor’s office as part of his tour to account for the work carried out in the last year, Sheinbaum affirmed that all demarcation holders were invited to this exercise, although not all have attended, as is the case of Santiago Taboada, from Benito Juárez, and Sandra Cuevas, from Cuauhtémoc.

“It is up to them whether they want to come or not, and for that we thank Giovani (Gutiérrez), because although we belong to different political forces, an institutional relationship with the city government is always appreciated, always,” said the president.

These statements were made by the head of government one day after giving her report to the Mexico City Congress, where five of the nine opposition mayors decided not to go to the legislative chamber.

The mayors Santiago Taboada, from Benito Juárez; Lía Limón, by Álvaro Obregón; Sandra Cuevas, from Cuauhtemoc; Mauricio Tabe, from Miguel Hidalgo, and Alfa González, from Tlalpan, published a six-point statement in which they stated that the reason for their absence was due, among other things, to the lack of dialogue and the alleged political persecution.

In this context, Claudia Sheinbaum responded from Coyoacán that her administration does not differentiate between colors or partisan ideologies, and even gave the example of the Cuajimalpa hospital or the construction of the Tacubaya Welfare City in Miguel Hidalgo, or the rescue of the Atlampa neighborhood. in Cuauhtémoc, demarcations governed by the opposition.

“This is a demonstration of how one has to work for everyone, regardless of the color of the party, one has to work for the citizens,” he said.
