Their names are active on social networks and, although they have not formalized itthey sound like possible pre-candidates for Mayor of Quitoin the sectional elections of February 2023.
It was the Citizen Participation Corporation that planned the meetingin which at a table, in the shape of a ‘u’, these actors from politics, private enterprise and society they exchanged ideas.
Ruth Hidalgo, executive director of Corporación Ciudadana, asked potential candidates if they would be willing to unite across trends and thus achieve the next elections there will be no more than 15 candidatesas happened in 2019, when Jorge Yunda, mayor removed in 2021, won the elections with 20% of the votes.
