The new decree was published in an extra edition of the Official Diary of the Union (DOU), on the night of this Friday (18), and the change will already be valid for the next selection of Prouni, which should take place in the first half of 2022.

According to the government, the measure adapts the Prouni legislation in view of the consequences arising from the covid-19 pandemic, which ended up causing delays in the last editions of the Enem.

In addition, according to the Ministry of Education, the change meets a potential demand from students for Prouni scholarships, reducing the current idleness of existing scholarships and expanding access to higher education.
