During the ordinary session this Thursday, the Senate discussed among one of its agenda items the bill “That regulates the system for updating the retirement assets of retired civil servants and public employees of the Central Administration and the Civil Service ”.
This proposal aims to promote certain reforms in the Fiscal Fund to which public officials, university professors, judicial magistrates, as well as police, military and educators contribute.
The main modification that would be included is the equalization of the assets of retired workers with those of those who are active contributors, an aspect that has been harshly questioned by various sectors.
At the proposal of Senator Stephan Rasmussen (PQ), a vote was taken in favor of postponing the treatment of the aforementioned bill in the Upper House for 90 days.
From the Ministry of Finance they have already expressed their position in rejection of the project, since they consider that an eventual update of the Fiscal Fund to “equalize” the assets could represent millionaire losses for the Public Treasury.
The entrance Senate postpones for 90 days treatment of the reform project of the Fiscal Fund was first published in diary TODAY.
