Two people were arrested in the sector of Playa Claridad, Punta Chame for alleged drug trafficking, this occurred during an operation in which 609 packages of alleged illicit substance and 2 artisanal boats were seized.
The operation was carried out by the National Aeronaval Service (SENAN), which reported that so far in 2022, through the execution of 82 operations, it has achieved the total seizure of 60,692 packages of illicit substances.
The SENAN authorities managed to locate and secure a bus-type vehicle, an artisanal boat, whose occupants, upon noticing the Aeronaval presence, began their flight, achieving the apprehension of 1 foreign male, and the seizure of 289 packages of alleged illicit substances. .
Continuing with said seizure, in the same place, the uniformed officers find a Panamanian male and the location of a second abandoned craft-type vessel, which, during the security visit, revealed a possible double bottom, which inside he hid 320 packages of alleged illicit substances.
After coordination with the West Panama Drug Prosecutor’s Office, the vehicle, the vessels, the apprehended and the alleged illicit offense were transferred to the Punta Chame Naval Air Post.
