Secretary General of the PRD proposes that the party return to its origins

Santo Domingo– The general secretary of the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD)Danilo Rafael (Junior) Santos, considered today as a necessity that this political organization return to its true origins as the only way to guarantee the well-being and tranquility of the Dominican family.

Santos said that to achieve that goal the PRD it must renew its historic social, political, and economic pact with Dominican society, to which it is committed together with the ideas of the late leader José Francisco Pena Gómez, and the founders of that party.

In that sense, he emphasized that the original and permanent commitment of the white party is to meet the aspirations of the Dominican people, through institutional reforms, as well as the creation of more and better jobs.

“We are also committed to guaranteeing food security, citizen security, the environment, territorial planning, water production, the development of policies towards youth and women, as well as improving public services, and the situation of the electrical issue, insisted the PRD leader.

“In that sense, we must enhance every day the pride of being Dominican and PRD, guaranteeing the freedoms that citizens enjoy, as a result of the sacrifice and contributions of the PRD to Dominicanness,” he stressed.

Junior Santos, expressed himself in these terms in the act of commemoration of the 61st anniversary of the arrival of the PRD in the country, on July 5, 1961, through a delegation headed by Nicolás Silva, Ángel Miolan and Ramón Castillo, with the objective to organize the party entity in the national territory.

With regard to the important date, the leader of the white party invited the PRD militancy to renew the votes of hope and strengthen the commitment of the political entity, to strengthen democracy and public freedoms.
