For the second day, the highway between Cochabamba and Santa Cruz is blocked, in the town of Chimoré. The dialogue installed on Wednesday night was broken at dawn and the pressure measure continues.
The inhabitants of that locality demand the paving of a road and they placed promontories of earth and rocks to avoid the passage of motorized. Interdepartmental trips are made by the old road.
The protest is concentrated in the bridge sector. The center of intercultural communities asks the continuity of the asphalt of Student Avenue airport sector entrance to Senda Ba work that has been pending since 2009.
Statements from the leader:
On Wednesday, some growers dumped dead birds on the road not being able to feed them because they were stranded for several hours due to the blockade. There are at least three kilometers of stranded vehicles on both sides of the road.
“We have not been able to sign any agreement, unfortunately, we are still in negotiations, we have given tasks on this project that our central has”, said one of the leaders, after a meeting with representatives of the Vice Ministry of Investment.
